"Mirror, Mirror on the wall . . . where did he go, and why doesn't he call?"

Vatican Acknowledges Possibility Of Extraterrestrial Alien Life

In an article titled, "The Extraterrestrial is My Brother," during an interview for the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Vatican astronomer, Jesuit Father Jose Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory acknowledged the possibility that alien life exists in the universe.

Father Funes states that such a belief does not contradict faith because any form of extraterrestrial life would be considered God's creature as well. He goes on to state that biomarkers are now being used in spectrum analysis of other stars and planets in the search for extraterrestrial life. The Vatican astronomer said that "astronomy was a science that can open people's minds and hearts and bring them closer to God. The idea that astronomy leads to an atheistic view of the universe is a myth."

I don't know if you are as astonished by this as me, but I must say that I'm surprised. Not because it doesn't seem perfectly logical to assume that other life forms exist out there - to me it does - but because this is a big step for the church in my opinion. And it's been a long time coming.

The discussion became even more surprising to me when Father Funes was quoted as saying, "As an astronomer, I can say that from the observation of stars and galaxies there emerges a clear evolutionary process." It is Father Funes' belief that the Big Bang Theory is the most plausible explanation for the origin of the universe.

What? Again, this has been a long time coming, but . . . are these guys ever going to make up their mind?

For those of you who may not know, Galileo Galilei was tried in 1633 as a heretic and forced to recant his theory that the Earth revolves around the sun because teachings at that time placed the Earth at the center of our universe. Pope John Paul corrected this in 1992 when he declared that the ruling against Galileo was an error resulting from a "tragic mutual incomprehension."

So it seems the church may now be attempting to rectify old wrongs and the Vatican Observatory is now a leader in it's efforts to bridge the gap between science and religion. Its meteorite collection is actually considered one of the world's finest.

Now granted, there is a difference between the Vatican's chief astronomer and the Vatican itself, but nonetheless. . .this is quite interesting isn't it?

Another reason that I find this interesting? With the year 2012 looming in the near future and all the discussion about whether it's literally the end of our world or simply the end of our world as we know it. . .it occurs to me that the timing for this is rather interesting. Examiner reports:

"The Vatican’s new openness on extraterrestrial life is consistent with reports of secret discussions held at the United Nations that began in February 2008. The Vatican’s permanent representative to the UN, Archbishop Celestino Migliore, was reported to have attended along with a number of other prominent government officials to discuss increased UFO sightings and the implications of extraterrestrial visitation."

Ready for more? How about this?

"Obama's secret messages can be analyzed to show that the "something big" that's on its way may be "alternative possibilities: a large-scale extraterrestrial event, the emergence of extraterrestrial-derived energy, and/or large-scale extraterrestrial disclosure by terrestrial authorities and/or by extraterrestrials themselves."

Here you can find the entire explanation behind Obama's secret messages and that quoted reference above. (I'd suggest reading it in order to see the real significance of that event combined with the Vatican's recent disclosure here.) Now, I don't necessarily believe that any one dramatic event will take place in the year 2012. Personally, I believe that during the years preceding and following the year 2012 we will begin to "shift" as a society and our views and priorities as a race will be changing accordingly. I believe we have been progressively moving into a spiritual age with "critical mass" being attained around the year 2012. (The electromagnetic energy that will begin to bombard the earth from the planetary alignment with our galaxy's blackhole will assist us in attaining this enlightenment by "opening" areas of the mind and creating new ways of thinking.)

I would even go so far as to say that this "doomsday" that everyone is waiting for . . . surprise. We've all been living through it for about the last 100 years or so. The four horseman of the apocalypse have ridden through.

We are moving into an age when people will realize that there are more important things in life besides technology, progress, money and industry. We will begin to focus on our spirituality, our divinity, advances in quantum physics, possibly the discovery of something bigger than ourselves, our environment - and the importance of caring for your fellow man.

Something that I think man has forgotten there is great joy and satisfaction in.

It almost seems to me like this recent Vatican event could be viewed as one of many steps in preparing mans mind for the acceptance of such things.

Just an interesting observation on my part so for those of you prepared to bash me as some sort of paranoid schizophrenic, conspiracy theorist or whatever else you throw at me - trust me, I'm not. I don't run around like Chicken Little waiting for the sky to fall and calling these "end times." But I don't ignore certain things either. I always enjoy stepping back, taking myself out of the equation and looking at the big, big picture. I believe these are times of new beginnings and a chance for mankind to redeem itself and I look forward to what's to come. Even if it amounts to nothing at all.

And prepare folks. You can undoubtedly guarantee that we are not alone in this universe and to continue to honestly believe that we are the only form of intelligent life in existence - is purely ignorant.

I agree with you. I believe very very strongly that the Vatican is preparing us for what will be proven in the not so distant future.

It is not a coincidence, imo, that this happens as governments of nations (other than the USA), and government employees and retired military and government workers in the US are disclosing information they have on ET life.

The Disclosure Project introduces us to many of them.

Too late to acknowledge this fact now great damage has been done to the spirit of Grace...Grace has been completely trampled on over the centuries...

And another point, I assure you and every biblical leader/scholar that once was or is to come that the origin of the spirit of Grace is not of this Earth which would automatically label the spirit of Grace "ALIEN" in human terminology!

Don't know what to make of it but I read in another website (www.bibleprobe.com) that UFOs originated from Hell according to an apparition of the Virgin Mary. In that case, they do exist and are creatures of God but have malicious intent towards humanity. I don't believe that any ET can truly befriend mankind.

I don't agree with the,UFO's are from Hell. In fact if they were in deed "EVIL", don't you think that they would have done something sinister by this point? And speaking of sinister, while it's my guess, the people that are "Abducted" didn't ask to be abducted, and the experience was frightening...Most of the people after the "Abduction" That is if they deal with it..Usually have a greater understanding of humanity as well as a broader Love...In most of the cases that I have read about or seen on T.V./internet, the people involved have in fact changed for the better. Within that they have and I stress "Most" of the "Abductees" have a sort of awakening and a broader consciousness..I'm not saying that all Abductees love their captures and now love life unconditionally. I am merely saying, and my point is...It sounds to me like the people who immediately jump to the conclusion that ET's can never befriend mankind, and they are from hell...Are living in FEAR! I have been researching this phenomenon in it's entirety for about the last six to seven years..and very few accounts have been actually malevolent..to me, and what I have learned through my experience and research is "LOVE!"

"People should STOP living in fear, and leave that empty space that use to hold fear...Open for Love!"

The Vatican is falling and will be no more. You will all see this world ripped apart shred by shred just to unveil the truth hidden right before your eyes. This Pope is the last and there will be no more. As far as Alien goes and to the commenters:

Definition: Alien

1. Not contained in or deriving from the essential nature of something; "an economic theory alien to the spirit of capitalism"; "the mysticism so foreign to the French mind and temper"; "jealousy is foreign to her nature".
2. Being or from or characteristic of another place or part of the world; "alien customs"; "exotic plants in a greenhouse"; "moved to a strange country".

1. A person who comes from a foreign country; someone who does not owe allegiance to your country.
2. Anyone who does not belong in the environment in which they are found.
3. A form of life assumed to exist outside the Earth or its atmosphere.

1. Arouse hostility or indifference in where there had formerly been love, affection, or friendliness.

Nice catch this article. It's almost revealing itself now.It became worldwide known that Vatican's telescopes are looking up for something.Extraterrestrial life they say.But 2012 is approaching so they may even team with other telescopes to scan the sky for possible comets.Cant wait to see if something will happen. Are we prepared gentlemen?

Sounds a bit crazy and all "conspiracy" like. . . but it seems that the Vatican is working with "the powers that be" (TPTB) for lack of a better term. It seems that our leaders may, in fact, be developing ways to introduce humanity to the FACT that intelligent, alien life exists within our universe.

It appears that secret United Nations discussions were taking place throughout last year according to this report by Examiner:

Interesting. I remember learning in school that it was Copernicus--not Galileo--who was the first to come up with the theory that the Earth is not the center of the Universe. In fact, I went over to wikipedia and it said, Copernicus (1473 – 1543) "was a Renaissance astronomer and the first person to formulate a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology which displaced the Earth from the center of the universe." It seems Galileo comes decades later!!
